TOTTENHAM defender Micky van de Ven admits he did not expect the club to sack former manager Ange Postecoglou.

Postecoglou guided Spurs to Europa League glory last season before being replaced by Thomas Frank following a 17th-placed finish in the Premier League.

Van de Ven, who felt the team sometimes lacked a Plan B under Postecoglou, told The Overlap podcast: “He is a really good manager - I still really like him.
