FINAL DEMOLITION STARTS ON HISTORIC MILL TOWER

THE final phase of demolition has begun on the site of a 154-year-old mill in Dingle.

The vacant Wilson's flour mill on Mill Street shut down in 2022, closing the book on a long history which dated back to 1872 and Britain's second Industrial Revolution.

A number of smaller buildings on the site were flattened in March last year with the permission of Liverpool City Council. The noisy demolition took many residents by surprise, with some believing the buildings had unintentionally collapsed after years of disuse.
