Club's rallying cry for support as crisis bites

Fans arriving at Prescot Cables - but the club says it must sell more tickets to survive

The directors of Prescot Cables say they will have to reduce their playing squad because of financial challenges as they encourage members of the community to come out and show their support.

In May 2024, a record crowd of more than 2,000 people watched on as Prescot Cables secured promotion to the Premier Division of the Northern Premier League (NPL).

A 2-0 win over local rivals City of Liverpool meant an exciting new chapter in the fan-owned club's history - but also a major challenge.

As part of the club's promotion to the Premier Division, several infrastructure upgrades were required to ensure compliance with league standards and to position the club for future progression up the football pyramid.
