Boss wants Sharp back for final game

DAVID Moyes hopes Everton legend Graeme Sharp will attend the final game at Goodison Park.

The former striker, the club's greatest living goalscorer, returned to watch the Blues in the club's draw with Ipswich Town last weekend.

It was the first time he had sat in the stands in just over two years, his absence prompted by alleged safety concerns for board members during a turbulent period at the club. Sharp was a non-executive director at the time.

His appearance marked the end of what had essentially become a self-imposed hiatus and was notable given the club's efforts to celebrate the 40th anniversary of its glorious 1985 league and European Cup Winners’ Cup winning side.
