SKUBALA SAYS CLUB WORKS WITHIN CONSTRAINTS

- By SAM ALLEN

I'm happy with the progress we have made

PATIENCE is a virtue in football for a club like Lincoln City, who have to build slowly to get to where they want to be against tough competition.

The league season grind is over again for a few months, and now plans for the summer get set into motion as Michael Skubala and his team decide what the next steps are in order to progress further.

The Imps' 11th-place finish in League One this term was satisfactory, but after years of consolidation and tight misses on the promotion front, the club are eager to see how they can get back into that conversation near the top.

Security is nice to have, but supporters always want the club to have something to fight for, and head coach Skubala has to battle against rising expectations with his feet now firmly under the table at Lincoln.

He said: “It’s not just about what happens on the pitch, but also around the club and the processes we have in place to ensure the continued growth of the club.
