Warnings over 'fake' reports put online

THE police are warning people not to spread “malicious or fake” information on social media after an investigation into an incident involving young girls was dropped.

Officers said those spreading fake information could be prosecuted.
Police said they opened an investigation on Thursday to look into posts made on Facebook regarding a person's behaviour towards young girls in Bell Street, Wigston, and on Arriva buses.
