WOMAN, 32, IS GIVEN CHANCE AFTER LATEST THIEVING 'BLIP'

- By TOM MACK

A THIEF with 114 shoplifting offences on her record went out to steal for no reason other than habit, she told a court.

In total, 32-year-old Katie Kirkland had 161 previous convictions on her record when, back in August, she entered the Coop in Stoney Stanton, and stole items.

The next day she did the same thing, stealing about £45 worth of goods from the Coop in Fieldfare Road, Hinckley.
