CONSTRUCTION WORKER FELL AS HE WALKED ON ROOF BEAMS
A CONSTRUCTION boss has avoided jail after a man suffered fatal injuries falling from height while working on a house.
Stephen Pywell, 59, was a subcontractor for Leicestershire company Affordable Lifestyle Design Ltd at the time of the incident, in March 2019.
Mr Pywell was walking on beams while working on the roof of the Thurmaston house extension when he fell to the ground from about 8ft.
Despite undergoing surgery, he died about two months later from his injuries, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) said.
