Drug use and waste 'making life intolerable for street's residents'

DRUGS, public sex and overflowing rubbish are making life in a street "increasingly intolerable", councillors have been told.

Shop owners are using the area as a dumping ground for their waste, homeless people sleep behind the bins and people are injecting heroin and leaving behind needles, Leicester City Council heard.

Residents in Victoria Avenue, off London Road, have also seen drug deals taking place in their cul-de-sac and witnessed people "engaging in sexual activity under windows".
