Denmark manager concerned over Mads' West Ham nightmare

MADS Hermansen's £15 million switch to West Ham has failed to pay off, with the Denmark manager admitting he is worried about his goalkeeper's status.

The former Leicester City number one had a very difficult start with the Hammers, conceding 11 goals in his first four appearances, the Dane particularly struggling at corners and long throws.

He was then dropped from the starting lineup and has not been able to regain his place under new manager Nuno Espirito Santo, with Alphonse Areola preferred between the sticks.

Speculation is now emerging that the Hammers will cut their losses on Hermansen and try to sell the 25-year-old in January.
