Alayza wins international prize for her English skills

SIX-YEAR-OLD TAKES A TOP COLLEGE PRIZE

ENGLISH skills displayed by a six-year-old from Leicester have won her an international award.

The British Youth International College (BYITC) named eight winners at its fifth annual International English Olympiad, including Alayza Sameer Samani, from Leicester.

Alayza, pictured, a pupil at Mellor Primary School, won the level two award.

The college's International English Olympiad focuses on English language skills and covers reading, listening, writing and comprehension of contemporary and traditional texts.
