New-look pub in the Market Place has a welcoming sports and community feel

Red Lion ready to roar

Inside the refurbished historic Red Lion pub in Leek, also above right and right

IN last week's Post and Times we reported how The Red Lion had reopened after 59 days - well, now we're taking a peek inside the new-look pub, which is now a sports-led community hub.

Dave Jennings has taken over The Red Lion, in Market Place, Leek, and the place is unrecognisable.

Teaming up with Punch Pubs & Co, which owns the watering hole, new sports facilities have been implemented following an investment of more than £200,000. This includes a pool table, a new darts wall, and five big screen TVs which are all able to play different games at any given time on Sky Sports and TNT.
