Dreams fade for ace dance pair

TWO POTENTIAL world champion ballroom dancers from Cheadle could have their dreams of glory wrecked through lack of sponsorship.

The England number two pair Robert Litchfield and Barbara Salt are finding it increasingly difficult to compete at the highest level under mounting financial pressure.

Robert, 25, and Barbara, 24, of Thorley Drive, Cheadle, gave up full-time careers two years ago to concentrate on their dancing ambitions.

They have both taken up part-time jobs but are still in need of financial assistance. Their annual expenses are nearly £10,000, and efforts to secure financial help have so far failed miserably.
