Veterans cafe in city tackling loneliness and isolation

Sipping a brew and speaking to to those who served in the Armed Forces was the focus of the latest episode of the Parched Pea Podcast - a collaboration between the Lancashire Post and Blog Preston.

Podcast host John 'Gilly' Gillmore took the microphone along to the Sandbags cafe where military veterans come together, share memories and make friends - taking place each week at St George's Church in Lune Street.
Whilst there, Gilly meets Jack Kendall - the man who holds the standard for all the military events in the city.
