The same story has different versions, we just want the truth

'm wearing my best suit. That's not entirely correct. I'm wearing my suit. Realistically I only have one suit these days. I rarely wear a suit. Not even when I'm interviewing or attending important meetings. These days there are few occasions that justify the suit. It's mildly uncomfortable.

The room is empty, I'm waiting. I can hear noise from the other rooms. Quiet collusion. Our legal team will be here shortly. These are rooms outside of court for legal teams to meet with their witnesses. Space to discuss and plan.

This is a court day. It's one of a sequence. The case was put in my diary for a week. The first two days have been listening and preparing. It's for me to give evidence today. There isn't anything strange about giving evidence as a Doctor, it's relatively routine. I go to court a few times each year. Sometimes that is a Crown Court, but more commonly it's the Coroners Court. That's where I am today.
