Plans to invest in former bank

Plans to convert a former bank in Garstang into two residential apartments have been withdrawn - as the applicant wants to serve drinks and show films there instead.

Declan Stephen, of the popular Nineteen Kitchen and Bar in the town, had applied to convert the former Barclays branch at 12 High Street into flats.
The proposal, submitted back in April, had the support of the town council but had not yet gone before Wyre's planning councillors.
