New security leaves park users with access woes

New measures to prevent antisocial on a Preston park are stopping access for mobility scooters.

Security measures have been put in place around Tanterton Village Green after the two football pitches were repeatedly damaged by off-road machines ripping up the playing surfaces.

It was hoped the new fencing would restrict use of the facilities to those on two feet, rather than two wheels, with the work being funded by Ingol and Tanterton Neighbourhood Council with support from Preston City Council.
