JPR One is the one to follow for Exeter gold

JPR One is taken to get the better of his younger rival Kalif Du Berlais and win the Bet MGM Haldon Gold Cup at Exeter for a second successive year.

The Tizzard family has along association with the race, with JPR One’ trainer Joe Tizzard winning it twice as a jockey for Paul Nicholls, on Lake Kariba and Flagship Uberalles in the late 1ggos. He then had to wait until 2012 before winning it for his father, Colin, on the brilliant Cue Card, with Tizzard senior winning it again through Eldorado Allen in 2021.

Now an established trainer in his own right, Joe Tizzard has claimed the last two renewals, with Elixir De Nutz preceding JPR One last year.
