County Council agrees change after hundreds back campaign

- by Jamie Lopez

Lancashire County Council agreed to remove incorrectly painted road markings leading to a motorway junction - weeks after claiming there was no mistake.

Markings on Chorley North Link Junction-on the approach to the M61 and A674-were recently repainted but with the middle lane markings changed.

The reasons for this were unclear and led to fears over potential collisions given they now differed from signs next to the road and were on a particularly busy stretch.
