Safety is sealed in thriller against Dundee
Kilmarnock Standard
|May 14, 2025
Kilmarnock secured their Premiership status with two games to spare after picking up a third successive win thanks to a thrilling victory over Dundee at Rugby Park.
With all the pre-match chatter being about boss Derek McInnes and a possible move to Hearts, Killie showed no signs of that having any impact as they came out firing.
Knowing a win would see them safe, they looked keen to get that done and dusted early on as they passed up two chances in the opening minutes.
A Danny Armstrong header was headed towards goal by Robbie Deas with Bruce Anderson unable to turn the rebound home.
Moments later, Anderson should have opened the scoring. He passed up an absolute sitter from close range after being teed up by Corrie Ndaba.
