Housing firm to increase consultations
Kilmarnock Standard
|January 14, 2026
Developers of a proposed housing development at Altonhill Farm, just outside Kilmarnock, have been told to improve their plans for public consultation.
-
Hallam Land Management Ltd lodged a 'proposal of application' which outlines its intention to carry out consultation prior to a formal planning application being submitted.
East Ayrshire Council planners have reviewed the request and asked the developer to go further than the statutory minimum in consulting the public.
The application provides little detail, but formally begins the consultation with local residents and community bodies.
The development has been designated as 'major' and will require an overall masterplan which will detail of the number of homes and layout.
