KU Achieves Historic A++ NAAC Accreditation

In a historic stride for higher education in Jammu and Kashmir, the University of Kashmir (KU) has secured the coveted A++ grade in the latest National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) re-accreditation cycle, with a record Institutional Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.68. This places KU among the top-tier universities in India and makes it the first university in J&K to be accredited under NAAC's revamped and more rigorous assessment framework.

This is KU's fourth cycle of NAAC accreditation. The university previously earned 'A' grades in 2002 and 2011, followed by an 'A+' in 2019. The recent A++ recognition reflects not only consistency in quality but also remarkable institutional progress.

KU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nilofer Khan, expressing gratitude, said the milestone is a result of years of collective effort. "This is a moment of pride for our academic community. We are aligned with the vision of NEP 2020 and have made substantial progress in offering flexible, innovative, and globally relevant academic programs," she said.
