J&K Disposes Highest Number Of POCSO Cases In 5 Yrs

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir registered 42 cases under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act in 2025, out of which 23 were disposed of during the same year, marking the highest disposal count in the last five years, officials said on Friday.
According to data shared by the Union Ministry of Law and Justice in the Lok Sabha,
as quoted by Kashmir News Observer, the region has seen a notable rise in the disposal of POCSO cases compared to earlier years.
