Govt to Crack Down on Underperforming Schools: Sakina

Minister for Education Sakina Itoo on Monday said that the government will take stringent action against schools showing poor academic performance, stressing that accountability and efficiency will define the next phase of educational reforms in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing students and staff at Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GGHSS) Baramulla, the Minister said the education department has achieved remarkable progress within a year. “In just one year of our government, we have accomplished what had not been achieved in the past decade,” she remarked.
