Akbar Jaipuri Memorial Committee Condoles Shahid Budgami’s Demise

SRINAGAR: The Akbar Jaipuri Memorial Committee has expressed sorrow over the demise of Shahid Budgami, a renowned literary figure whose contributions left an indelible mark on Kashmiri and Urdu literature.

In a statement, the Committee described Budgami as a “towering literary and cultural figure of Kashmir” and a close associate of the legendary poet Syed Akbar Jaipuri. “Budgami Sahab was a celebrated poet, author, and lyricist whose work enriched Kashmiri and Urdu literature for decades,” the statement read.
