ENTRANCE TO DISUSED TUNNELS REPAIRED 3 TIMES IN 3 MONTHS
TIKTOKERS are causing a headache for Thanet District Council, after a network of Second World War air-raid shelters was repeatedly broken into.
The council has been forced to replace the same manhole three times in three months because of “urban explorers”, and is now trying to warn off copycats from accessing the secret entrance, over fears they will have to carry out more repairs.
The problems are thought to have started after an explorer who goes by the online name “WheresEdd” posted footage from inside the underground tunnel beneath Pierremont Park in Broadstairs last September.
