Massive mark-up online as World Cup seats being resold
WORLD Cup tickets are already being sold on resale sites for a vast markup, with a seat for the final on offer for more than €90,000.
Fifa boasted it has had five million requests for tickets since it last week opened the ballot for the 2026 tournament in the US, Canada and Mexico.
It is selling group stage tickets for up to three times the prices of those for Qatar in 2022, while the cheapest official ticket for the final cost €3,553 through the Fifa site.
But many tickets have already found their way on to resale site Ticombo, with a category 1 ticket for the final at the MetLife stadium in New Jersey originally on sale for €6,738 listed at €91,767 including fees.
