BUTTER:
There's a hot debate about whether butter is bad for us, but most studies appear to suggest the saturated fat in it is a risk for heart disease, so eating too much could be a problem. The British Heart Foundation says that swapping to margarine can cut the saturated fat content in half. Rating: 1/5
MARMITE:
A great source of vitamin B12 which is important for a healthy nervous system, with boffins even linking it to preventing dementia. Other B vitamins in the spread may ease anxiety and depression, and help protect your heart. It also has magnesium that can boost sleep and bone health. The yeast extract is salty though, have a thin layer. Rating: 3/5
