Eddie won't stop tinkering as he plans Toon recovery
EDDIE Howe has defended his squad rotation policy ahead of Newcastle's trip to Bournemouth.
Howe came under fire from some fans for resting €79m new boy and man of the moment Nick Woltemade against Barcelona in the Champions League.
But the manager insists he could not take any risks with Yoane Wissa injured and the Germany international his only recognised striker.
The Magpies must shake off the disappointment of losing 2-1 to Barcelona and concerns over too much tinkering.
After Woltemade had marked his debut with the winning goal against Wolves last weekend, Howe may now start him against the Cherries.
The side lacked a focal point for long periods of the Barca game with a front three of three wingers in Anthony Elanga, Anthony Gordon and Harvey Barnes.
