The face of hunger... as war rages

A STARVING child in Gaza nibbles some rare bread, as Israeli attacks in the Strip continue.

Two-year-old Yezen Abu Ful, who lives with his family at the Al-Shati Camp in the north of the strip, is one of many youngsters suffering under Israel's blockade of supplies.

The UN's children’s agency Unicef said in June that nearly 6,000 children in Gaza were suffering from malnutrition, with more than 1,000 in a severe condition.
