SUSPECT ARRESTED AFTER EXPLOSIVES FOUND AT PROPERTY

A MAN has been arrested in the North after explosives were found in a house.

The property was cordoned off and nearby properties in Bentham Drive, south Belfast, area were evacuated.

A number of suspicious objects found at the scene on Saturday were declared viable by army officers.

Police said yesterday the security alert had ended and residents can return.
