Plea for more aid as UN warns most of Gaza now a no-go zone

UNITED Nations chiefs say most of Gaza is now a “no-go zone” and is being starved as the world watches.

Dozens of Palestinians, including children, have died from famine as agencies race against time to save thousands more.

This week, 90 aid trucks were allowed into Gaza after Israel lifted its blockade on the Strip’s population of 2.1 million.

But the relief has only come in at a trickle, with thousands of trucks stuck at the border.

Experts claim at least 500 trucks a day are needed to ease the famine. Red Cross spokesman Tommaso Della Longa said: “This is less than a drop in the ocean.
