Public helps to find Irish sex offender

INFORMATION provided to police in the UK helped track down a violent Irish sex offender.

Ashley McPhee, 27, was located and rearrested on Tuesday.

Police in Blackpool had made a public appeal asking for any information that would help investigators find the registered sex offender, who is originally from Midleton, east Cork but now lives in the UK.
