Late Late Show host splits from his wife after 13 years

- BY SANDRA MALLON Showbiz Editor

LATE LATE Show host Patrick Kielty and Cat Deeley have insisted there is no one else involved as the couple announce their shock split after 13 years together.

The TV stars, who wed in September 2012 at a ceremony in Rome, announced they had separated in a joint statement yesterday.

But the pair - who have two sons together, Milo, nine, and seven-year-old James - insist there is "no other party involved".

They said in a joint statement: "We have taken the decision to end our marriage and are now separated. There is no other party involved.

"We will continue to be united as loving parents to our children and would therefore kindly ask for our family privacy to be respected.

"There will be no further comment."

Cat, 48, has just gone on her summer break from co-hosting ITV's This Morning with Ben Shephard.

While Co Down star Patrick, 54, is due to return to our screens on RTE in August or September to host a new season of The Late Late Show.

Rumours began to swirl there was trouble between the pair after Cat wasn't spotted at the funeral of Patrick's mother Mary in Dundrum, Co Down, earlier this year.

A spokesman told the Mail at the time that Cat was at home minding the two children.
