Charlie hits 1-5 as K/K seal three-in-a-row

CHARLIE MITCHELL fired 1-5 to propel Kilcormac-Killoughey to another Offaly SHC title as they held off a second-half onslaught from Shinrone yesterday.

Leading by 0-17 to 0-7 at the break, K/K’s advantage peaked at 1] after Mitchell (pictured above) slotted his third point early in the second half, but that was whittled down to the minimum late on.

Playing a more direct game reaped dividends for Shinrone as Eoin Bailey-O’Brien finished to the net from close range after Jason Sampson won a long delivery in the 36th minute, but there didn't appear to be real danger for Kilcormac at that stage.
