Jockey's ban separates dynamic duo
BRILLIANT miler Field Of Gold will have another new jockey after Colin Keane fell foul of British Flat racing's whip rules.
The Irishman had his punishment confirmed yesterday for going two strikes above the limit when Windlord won by a nose at Sandown.
Keane was handed a 14-day ban for the July 4 offence, which prevents him from partnering Field Of Gold in the Visit Qatar Sussex Stakes on July 30.
Today marks a month since the 30-year-old was announced as No.1 rider for Juddmonte, the owners of both racehorses.
The promotion to one of the sport's biggest jobs came just weeks after Field Of Gold was thwarted by Ruling Court in the 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket.
