Madeleine 'stalker's mum note'

THE alleged stalker of Madeleine McCann's family left a distressing letter claiming she was their lost daughter, a court heard.

Julia Wandelt, 24, told officers her father claimed he got her “from the McCanns” after drowning their first child, it was alleged.

But prosecutors in the UK say Wandelt, from Lubin, Poland, peddled the myth that she was Madeleine, who disappeared aged three years old during a family holiday in Portugal in 2007.
