Tech manufacturers launch two next-generation wearable devices

- MARK McCADDEN

HEALTH and fitness wearable WHOOP has launched two next-generation devices - the eagerly anticipated WHOOP 5.0 and WHOOP MG.

And here at Fitter Happier, we have managed to get our hands on the stylish MG device, and will give it a rigorous road test over the coming weeks before delivering a verdict on this tiny, but powerful package.

It’s our first experience with this product, having worn for a decade or so devices from other fitness tech companies with a screen (both with and without touchscreen capabilities).

Here's what the manufacturers have to say about the latest WHOOP wearable.

They say that the device will unlock a new approach to personal health and longevity, with an impressive 14-day battery life in a 7% smaller form.

Features include Healthspan with WHOOP Age, Heart Screener with on-demand ECG, Blood Pressure Insights, and more.

Will Ahmed, WHOOP founder and CEO said: “This isn’t just a product launch. It's a new chapter for WHOOP and for our members.

“We've taken every-thing we've learned over the past decade and built a plat-form to help our members perform and live at their peak for longer. We've held nothing back”.

Co Down Masters winner Rory Mcllroy is a big fan of the tech.
