Fireworks expected in Belfast rematch for world title and huge pay day

PADDY DONOVAN and Lewis Crocker are just 12 rounds away from changing their lives forever and adding their names to a list of Irish sporting greats.

They are aiming to join the likes of Katie Taylor (inset), Steve Collins, Barry McGuigan, Carl Frampton and Donovan's own coach Andy Lee by becoming a world champion.

From the outside looking in, one could be forgiven for thinking Crocker should be favourite for this IBF world welterweight title fight.

His record reads 21 fights, 21 wins, 11 by knockout and the bouts takes place a stone's throw away from where he grew up in Sandy Row, with the vast majority of tonight's 16,000 crowd expected to be cheering for ‘The Croc’.

But that record only tells a fraction of the story.
