DECEMBER 6 - Four-year-old Tadhg Farrell and his grandaunt Mary Holt, 60, are killed when thugs threw a firebomb into a house in Edenderry, Co Offaly. Gardai announce the incident as a double murder.
DECEMBER 8 - We revealed how a prison bust-up was suspected to have led to the ordering of the attack on the home in Edenderry the next day - leading to the deaths of the beloved nursing home worker and young child.
