Couple's 8046km trip to bring holiday 'wonky puppy' home
A COUPLE embarked on an 8,046km trip and paid €5,000 to bring a "wonky puppy" home after falling for her during their holiday.
Sam Simpson, 57, and her 52-year-old husband Phil were in Morocco when they met Naya who had been struck by a car which forced her to rely on her hind legs for mobility.
Sam, from Merseyside, UK, said: "Naya was desperately trying to come over to us when at the rescue centre.
"She kept falling on her face, but you could just see how determined she was.
Over time, she's built up the muscles in her back legs so she can hop around. We just knew we couldn't leave her."
