Turnaround in form is no surprise for Arne.. he always believed in himself

- BY FRASER WILSON

HE'S found his happy place again.

But Arne Engels knows he can't allow that to become a comfort zone as he looks to take his game - and Celtic - to another level.

The Belgian's absence from the starting XI for all but five games under Brendan Rodgers I had a difficult period but I've shown a lot of resilience and everyone can see my quality as a player in the first three months of the campaign had punters scratching their heads as Celtic struggled for a creative spark.

A year on from becoming the club's record signing at £11m, this was supposed to be the season Engels kicked on and proved his worth.

But he's had to be patient. And resilient. Since Rodgers' departure the 22-year-old has gone from being a bit part to a lead role. He's started five of Wilfried Nancy's six games in charge and, before that, seven of Martin O'Neill's eight as caretaker.
