A GANGLAND feud in Edinburgh is reportedly being fuelled by the Kinahan cartel. Police are grappling with a series of firebombings and shootings targeting a crime empire linked to imprisoned cocaine lord Mark Richardson.

However, insiders from the underworld suggest that the Dubai-based Kinahan crime operation is connected to these attacks through their Scottish affiliates.

Among the close associates of the cartel's leader Daniel Kinahan, 47, is Steven Lyons, head of the notorious Lyons family from north Glasgow. After an attempt on his life that resulted in the death of his cousin, Michael, 21, Lyons relocated to the United Arab Emirates, where he formed a relationship with Kinahan.
