Fiona's family's heartbreak as dig fails to find missing woman

THE family of missing woman Fiona Sinnott say they are heartbroken a Garda search for her has ended without success.

Officers concluded a search of a parcel of land in south Wexford as part of their murder investigation.

Gardai have confirmed the search and excavation of land in Killinick village for the missing woman's remains finished yesterday afternoon.

The operation took place from yesterday morning and was located more than 6km from where Ms Sinnott went missing in Our Lady's Island in 1998.
