GRAHAM BURKE has outlined how Shamrock Rovers knew their dynasty wasn’t over in 2024 - despite the loss of their league title.
The Hoops were pipped last year by Shelbourne, who they play in their next game.
A point will guarantee them a fifth league crown in six years.
Rovers realised they had to burst fast out of the blocks this term, the one thing they failed to do last year.
Burke said: “We know where we went wrong last year. We got it back to a point on the last game of the season but the start to the year killed us.
“There were questions to answer. Were we finished? To come back, to get this close to another title, is a great feeling.
