CRONIN KNOWS HOW BIG A CHALLENGE CREIGHTON WILL POSE IN CARLISLE

WILLIAM CREIGHTON (Toyota GR Yaris Rally 2) and Keith Cronin (Citroën C3 Rally 2) are the number one and two seeds for today’s Carlisle Stages Rally, which forms the second round of the Probite Brakes British Rally Championship (BRC).

Creighton, a former World Junior Rally champion, is looking to win his first BRC while Cronin is chasing a record-equalling fifth crown and the Irish drivers took first and second in the opening round, the East Riding stages Rally last month.

The event takes the place of the Severn Valley Rally, cancelled due to the damage caused to the Welsh forests by Storm Darragh.

The BRC field will instead battle through just five stages in Northumberland’s Kielder Forest, the scene of many World Championship battles.
