MUNSTER coach Ian Costello praised the last quarter fightback in Bordeaux as the Reds threatened to perform another miracle.

But there was an acceptance that their initial poor showing had placed them in a quandary of their own making and there was just too much to do at 40-15 down.

“When we got our game going in that last 25 minutes - and I don't mean just in spirit and character - I never want to take that for granted. I think that was incredible, the way the lads fought back,” said Costello.
