Red-hot American eyes Sawgrass success
RUSSELL Henley's win at last week's Arnold Palmer Invitational at odds of 45/1 was far from a surprise.
Henley had three top 10s in his previous four starts and was trending towards a victory.
This week, Henley will be among 48 of the world's top 50 players teeing it up at the Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass stadium course in Florida.
World No1 Scottie Scheffler successfully defended his title last year, finishing on 20 under par, one shot ahead of Xander Schauffele, Wyndham Clark and Brian Harman.
Matt Fitzpatrick filled the places.
Scheffler won the previous year on a 17 under par by five shots from Tyrrell Hatton with Viktor Hovland, Tom Hoge and Hideki Matsuyama rounding out the top five.
