COLBY IS JOHN' THE RIGHT PATH
Irish Daily Star
|October 10, 2025
ALISTAIR JOHNSTON is itching to get back on the pitch for Celtic but the Hoops defender admits he’s been blown away by his young stand-in.
The right-back is on the comeback trail after tearing his hamstring in the frustrating Champions League playoff first leg clash with Kairat.
Johnston can't put a timescale on his return just yet — with next month tentatively pencilled into the diary — and regular backup Anthony Ralston has slotted in without too much fuss.
But it's been the impact made by teenager Colby Donovan that's really caught his eye after the 19-year-old stepped in when Ralston was also out injured and made a solid claim to stay in the side.
