I'VE been testing out the Insta360 Ace Pro 2 action camera which takes on competitors GoPro and DJI with its impressive all-round video capabilities.

Action cameras are generally used to capture high-quality videos (and photos) in a range of sporting or adventure pursuits, often in rugged or extreme environments, but not exclusively so.

They are also useful for vlogging, capturing travel exploits, family occasions and some can be used as dashcams.

They are typically popular for their compact size, durability and versatility - and thanks to a diverse range of accessories can be mounted or positioned almost anywhere, in lots of places where you can't, or won't want to, use your smartphone camera.
